There is one month until the biggest competition in beach handball on club level. This year European beach handball tournament (EBT) Masters Finals will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece from 30th of May till 1st of June. For the first time ever this competiton will have 10 teams competing in both categories.

In group A in Men category Club Balonmano Playa Alcala (Spain) is defending championship, there are also BHT Piotrkowianin Juko Piotrkow Trybunalski (Poland), BHC SKKM Ekaterinodar (Russia), Paksoft Camelot (Netherlands) and BC Sand Devils Minden e.V. (Germany). In group B Detono Zagreb will play against two well known teams Salgotarjani Strandepitok BHC (Hungary) and Club BMP Ciudad de Malaga (Spain), and two teams that will participate for the first time on this prestigious tournament D'Areia (Portugal) and Acropolis/Greece (Greece), which is this year wild card team.

In group A in Women category Paksoft Camelot (Netherlands) is defending championship, there are also Reflex AZS AWF Volkswagen Poznan (Poland), Beachqueens (Switzerland), Club Balonmano Getasur (Spain) and Team Nor (Norway) as a wild card team. In group B Detono Zagreb will play against well known teams OVB Beach Girls (Hungary) and Avant Garde (Greece), and two teams that will participate for the first time on Masters Finals Westsite (Netherlands) and Cubas Llopis BMP Sevilla (Spain).

The tournament will be directed by tournament management which will supervise the event. Among officials is Croatia's women beach handball national selector, Mateja Brezić as EHF lecturer.
