The girls in the preliminary stage finished ahead of Kanonierky (Slovakia), OCH'01 (Netherlands) and Beachqueens (Switzerland) teams. These results placed the team in the second group where Detono girls clashed against the Spanish team BMP Algeciras, from which they narrowly lost both sets, while Detonators won against Germany's representative team Caipiranhas and Hungarian team Gyor. Those victories were enough for the semi-finals part of this prestigious competition, where Detono played against the home team Paksoft Camelot. After two periods the result was equal but the Detono girls were better on shoot-out.
The final game was the second chance against Spain's Algeciras, and the game brought the best that this attractive sport offers. A handful of deft strokes with solid defense gave equal game and each period was won by either side. Shoot-out finished after seven series and it was successful for the Croatian representatives, which won its first European tournament series this year.
After the finals the left wing Detono Zagreb, Matea Jurilj, said: The whole tournament we played at a high level and in the end we managed to win only one team that beat us in this tournament. I am extremely satisfied with the reaction of the whole team and a strong defense that facilitate the work in the attack during the whole tournament. Now we will have a little rest and then move to the new tournament in Hungary.
Men team Chemo-profili Zagreb started with the victories in the group stage against the Dutch (White demons), the German and Tunisian representatives and thus ensure passage into the second group, where they played and lost against stronger Russian (Ekaterinodar) and Spanish (Malaga) teams. Also, Chemo-profili boys were better against the host team Paksoft Camelot. In the battle for a fifth place guys were more successful than this year's EBT Masters finalists, the Hungarian team BHC Dinamit and thus won the fifth place.
